Suffering because you can't breathe well, sleep well, enjoy life?
If you have a cold that just never goes away, persistent headaches, coughing, nasal congestion and fatigue, you may have chronic sinusitis.
Chronic sinusitis? What does that mean?
Chronic sinusitis means that your sinus problems last for more than 12 weeks and aren’t relieved by treatments, medications and antibiotics. If your symptoms resolve but then return multiple times a year, you have what’s called recurrent sinusitis, which can also interfere with your quality of life.
When too many treatments and too many doctor visits have brought you too little relief, there is now a simple, minimally invasive, in-office procedure that can offer you immediate and long-lasting relief from your sinus misery.
It takes less than an hour and lets you resume normal activities quickly
How Does this Advanced Sinus Treatment Work?
Cynthia was having multiple sinus infections a year with uncomfortable symptoms that responded only briefly to medications and antibiotics. After her balloon sinus dilation, she could breathe better, sleep better and once again had energy every day. And she was even able to go to work the day after her procedure.
The Source of Sinus Pain
Inflammation causes the sinus linings and passages to swell, preventing airflow and sinus drainage. Mucus builds up within the cavities and stagnates, causing bacteria to grow. The result is further swelling, sinus infection, pain and pressure.
Balloon Sinus Dilation
Balloon sinus dilation (balloon sinuplasty) is an advanced alternative to traditional sinus surgery. It is performed under local anesthesia in our office, and involves no cutting, and no packing with gauze.
A tiny balloon catheter is inserted into the sinus opening and inflated, expanding the passageways. When the balloon is deflated and removed, normal sinus airflow and drainage are restored. The procedure typically lasts about an hour, and most patients resume normal activities within 24-48 hours
